Dr. Conrad Murray has admitted to giving Michael Jackson a powerful anesthetic before his death. Dr. Murray is negotiating a deal to "surrender" to authorities in order to not face charges related to Jackson's death. He has not been charged with anything but he flew from his home in Houston to Los Angeles in anticipation of charges in the next 48 hours. His attorney has informed him to "tell all" in order to escape serious charges.

Definition of Broadcast Journalism

Broadcast Journalism is the broadcasting of news and information to the public. It is a way to give news and to gather information in order to give the news. It has to do with media and a way to give information. Real Definition: Airing news/current events instantaneously through TV, Radio, or Internet.

USA Today

I read an article on Groundhound Day and how the groundhogs projected another 6 weeks of winter. This method really doesn't make any sense to me because if he sees his shadow that means it is sunny out. Usually sun is incorporated with spring and summer and not winter. If he does not see his shadow that means it is cloudy out which is more incorporated with winter than spring or summer. I think we should base the length of winter off of scientific facts and data rather than hibernated animals. It is however a tradition and people around the world celbrate this day and wait for the groundhogs reaction.

Interview

I interviewed Kelsey Retherford. She is taking Introduction to Broadcast Journalism because this class qualified as a speaking credit which she needs in order to graduate. She is involved in cheerleading at Northern Elite. In the summer she works at the Apple Valley aquatic center and earns pretty good pay because it is a city job. She is unique because she travels a lot. Her dad works for Delta and she flies all over the world. She has been to 5 different countries.
